Sheep following sheep....
Sheep following sheep seems to be what mainstream is about about in the cad world?
I've seen it my whole career.
It's continuing to this day and seems to be typical user behavoir.
What is he/she using... oh... I should be using that....
Or,.. the manager buys into brand x and he/she has absoluting no clue how to use the program and is telling their user base what to use!?!!?
Sad.

F**king scum VAR's!
part of the reason these dickwads bent over,..
greed is a strange beast... and when times are tough,.. the scum
sucking sales/marketing/ceo weasels start too submit.
assholes!
Hearing/reading all the politics and economics lately.... the pond
scum we feed,.. creates more pond scum.
I can't believe these slimy bottom dwelling - bottomline marketing
tactics continue and people submit to it.... blindly, submissively,
passively,...
What they are doing is treating the user/client with NO RESPECT AT
ALL!
Those fees are NOT acceptable and this latest sales/marketing email
should be read as a slap in the face to ALL paying users!!
It's WRONG! It's UNETHICAL! It's UNACCEPTABLE!
it,... their pathetic mafia tactics will been seen as acceptable and WE ALL
LOSE!!

Tired of people making blatant and false statements about Pro/e.
Anyway, as a long-time Pro/e user and long-time SW user, over the years, most statements against Pro/e or posted on SolidWorks or AutoDesk forums are TOTALLY INCORRECT!
Pro/e stability, reliability, performance, consistency... is MUCH BETTER than SolidWorks!
Pro/e files were/are (but have increased) SMALLER, than SolidWorks.
Pro/e software works BETTER then SolidWorks on LESS expensive hardware, PERIOD!!!!!
And, to be clear,.. I DID NOT FLOCK TO SW because of the above... as a independent contractor, I saw NEW clients considering and moving away from AutoCAD (as I had with my Acad/MDT license) and they did NOT want to invest into Pro/e because of the cost (at that time, ~2-5X more expensive), learning curve and the ASSHOLE PTC sales people!
IMHO (as a consultant for 17 yrs, and ~20 years using 3D), Pro/e users and companies who did not know how to properly use Pro/e, went to SW.
Or, they NEVER needed the power of Pro/e and SW fits their needs much better!
Sadly, (the backdraft or domino effect?) I see many clients getting themselves into the same shitty position using SolidWorks as they did with Acad/MDT years ago.
SolidWorks is a mainstream modeler... it's average... that is, it's basically a chevy or ford .. for all.
Unfortunately, SolidWorks is basically BETAWARE,.. it's riddled with bugs, inconsistency, poor performance, lack of originality, lack of direction, half baked features and functions... and they have consistently proven this year after year after year,.....
Am, I annoyed... yes... yes I am! SolidWorks has made a hell of a lot of money off it's users and gained free support over the users,.. and all they have proved is that they are no different than AutoDesk or any other big company putting out HALF BAKED BETA WAREl!
.. (ok, well,... I feel much better now!) 8^)

Not renewing my subscription... Bub-Bye SW Corp!
I will not be renewing my SW subscription!
SW Corp and the VAR system are a waste of my time/money!
I seriously think I would be contributing to a dysfunctional organization.
Bub-bye!
Tis the season for SW Corp to f%$k things up again..
When the PhotoWorks Scene Editor is open, you can NOT edit materials!?
And, you can NOT shutdown SW!?!?
PLUS,.. you can NOT add Lights or Camera's!?!?!?
Great Quality Control you got there at SW Corp!?!?!?
btw, you could ALWAYS have these windows open together but nooooooooo....
ya see,.. there's a very good reason to having the Scene Editor and the Materials Editor open at the same time... it's called workflow and productivity... those things that help with reducing cost!?!?!?
This is the problem,... SW Corp does not understand how to be productive because they don't know how you use their own software!
Way to go SW Corp,.. you're right on course to a consistent - inconsistent release process!!!
Jerks!
..SOS (Same Old Shit),.. break it/fix it/break it/fix it-......... great software business plan!

Geometry Lock
That is, STOP the features from REBUILDING at a point in time.
For instance,.. an example of SolidWorks Corp's POOR PROGRAMMING...
Remove or delete a NON releted feature (even a sketch of a sketch
image or a simple unrelated feature) and the WHOLE feature list
rebuilds!?!?!?!?!?!
TOTALLY UNPRODUCTIVE PISS POOR PROGRAMMING!!!!
This have been happening since I've used this PIECE OF CRAP modeler
back in 1998!!!
I wanted to remind people that this is NOT NEW, it has been a LONG OVER
DUE REQUEST where by SolidWorks Corp has CONTINUED to NOT APPLY NEEDED
CUSTOMER REQUEST to enhance PERFORMANCE and PRODUCTIVITY!!!!!
Instead, SolidWorks Corp CONTINUES to release HALF BAKED UNPRODUCTIVE
CRAP the users DO NOT NEED or WANT! Or, add crap AutoCad users miss/
need!?!?!!?
So, if you have some free time.... please, write to SolidWorks Corp
and tell them to STICK IT UP THEIR ASS!!!!
Thanks.. 8^)
Just another SPAM site "comp.cad.solidworks"
The people who have done this are mainly NON users which have real social problems.
Not so funny, it's very sad,.. I've learned through life that crazy people can rule and control if given a chance.
